case study: hot water

In this case, an ORC unit is powered by a waste water flow from a chemical process. The flow rate is 15 kg/s water at a temperature level of 95°C on the hot side. On the cold side of the ORC cooling water with average temperature of 10°C is connected. In this process, the ORC will produce 50 kW of electricity.

The estimated payback time is 3,4 years with an IRR of 27%.
